Physical Description

Kallisto's appearance rarely fails to aid him in his attempts to impress others, whether they be his superiors, or his female peers. His hair falls midway down his back in fiery locks of rich red and crimson, almost mistakenly appearing with brilliant fire and magma weaved throughout each strand. Out from his fiery demeanor, his sharp emerald eyes cut through the room with a disturbingly invasive presence. Kallisto stands at a regally tall height with a much lighter appearance in build than his father. Although he is in reality of mediocre breeding, the members of his house have quickly dismissed his stunning appearance to be unique blessing from the dragons with features of his breeding just allocated differently.

Background

Unknown to all but his father, Kallisto is the bastard child between Solar Anathema and his father. Despite being manipulated by strong Solar charms and magic, Sentinel slew Kallisto's mother and took him back to the blessed isle to be properly raised in a dynast environment. Although his introduction was quite mysterious, Kallisto grew up as normally as any other child. He rarely saw his father, and was raised by Cathak attendants and nurses until he was of age to enter the best possible primary school. At the earliest possible age of ten, as if to confirm Sentinel's fabricated story of his mother and her breeding, Kallisto exalted with the blessing of the fire dragon. Of course, his house made a big deal of his exaltation, clamoring excitedly about the strength of his blood if he was able to exalt under the signature aspect of the house at such an early age. Unbeknownst to his house
As soon as Kallisto joined the Host of the Dragon-Blooded, it was suddenly as if the stigma surrounding his heritage was lifted and he was worthy of the attention of the fellow members of his house. Upon entering the circle of the worthy-blooded, Kallisto quickly realized standing and power of Sentinel in the family. Even though a majority of the house would briefly stop to give Kallisto the time of day, his father failed to really acknowledge Kallisto outside of his exemplary exaltation and acceptance into primary school with brief praise. His father was busy, and clearly didn't have time to waste teaching or even talking to his only son. Although this was very normal in dynast society, it was to an even higher degree with Sentinel. The neglect from his father stirred an resentful feeling in Kallisto, hardening his personality even further past that of the norm. Before long, Kallisto's demeanor was tempered into that of a blade; hard like jade, focused, and precise. If he could become better than his father, he could gain his respect and give Sentinel the time of day as he himself saw fit. Although his feelings began out of childish animosity, Kallisto's feelings matured into a more adult form of resentment. He truly wanted his father to regret not having a more active hand in his life, and was pleased when Sentinel and Cainan agreed to place him in the House of Bells to "follow in the footsteps of his father and bring another fine officer to the house of Cathak's service."
Kallisto didn't want his father's legacy. He wanted more. As soon as he enrolled at the House of Bells, he looked up all of Sentinel's records and marks, making certain that he would shatter them all. The process was very difficult and taxing, as his father was an excellent student in the first place. Kallisto forwent many nights of sleep and endured every bit of additional training possible. Not a minute was wasted doing anything extraneous, if at all possible. His instructors and fellow cadets were stunned at his devotion. Not only did he he surpass his father's performance at all costs, he held a number of records outright. Cathak was ecstatic with the young cadet's performance, giving Kallisto even more house standing and working to the benefit of his future goals doubly. To further his standing, Kallisto even worked very hard to establish a relationship with Cathak Cainan. Every break from the House of Bells was spent on the Cathak house tasks (that few members did voluntarily) in an attempt to glean any possible amount of gratitude and respect from the house leader. Kallisto wasn't quite sure if his attempts to impress Cainan were effective or not, as the house leader's expression was ever unchanging and he quite busy; however, one evening as Kallisto was preparing to depart back to the House of Bells, Cainan myteriously summoned Kallisto to his chambers. Cainan informed Kallisto that he was indeed impressed with Kallisto's promise and dedication to the House and duty as a member. As a reward, he presented Kallisto with a red jade katana, clearly of superb craftsmanship. Given to him with expectations of greater things to come, Kallisto was quickly dismissed back to the House of Bells, where he worked even harder towards greatness.
Currently, Kallisto is in his senior year at the House of Bells, nearing to end of a spectacular performance at an already taxing secondary school. In light of his achievements, Kallisto waits to see if Sentinel will continue to notice him outside of bare necessity, or give him the respect and attention he deserves. Either way, Kallisto has earned himself the promise of a respectable position in the Cathak legions, and is eager to graduate and surpass Sentinel in unlimited directions.
