Physical Description

Noah is a 22 year old eastern native, he stands 6'3" with broad shoulders and toned muscles. Long brown hair and tanned skin complete the handsome appearance of a bold warrior; an image magnified by the orichalcum breastplate he is most commonly found in. Though not physically imposing himself, the flashing golden armor, accompanied by a daiklave sheathed across his back, grants the magnificent appearance expected of The Chosen of The Sun.

His armor despite being a common type is highly recognizable, Wigar was recovered by Noah from the first age city of Rathess. Once belonging to a legendary solar diplomat, the armor is decorated in the finest art of the first age, setting it apart in appearance as well as quality when compared to armor of today. The suit of armor is completed with a matching pair of orichalcum gauntlets of equally ornate design, his mighty daiklave, Clarent, is worn across his back, hanging in a sheath ready to be drawn into action.

Personality

When Noah first exalted he was filled with a desire for glory and adventure, to become a legend in the eyes of the people so that he would not be looked at as the second villager to exalt. He spent his first few months of exaltation attempting to devise a way to become more famous than the legend Esenius had already built for himself. Nothing specifically has changed since those days but Noah's viewpoints on many things certainly have. He no longer seeks fame and glory, rarely even going out of his way for adventure, though it has a knack for finding him whether he is looking for it or not.

Noah has grown rather serious in nature as he has become more aware of the state of the world around him, he has grown dedicated to a cause that he has molded to his own and has long since begun to border on fanatical. Despite his serious tone it is still driven by compassion rather than conviction and he is most often kind to those he meets, excluding of course those traitors who have driven the world to its present state. Noah is a natural leader and he has learned to embrace his talents, often rallying people to his causes either short term or long. He prefers to lead by example and because of this holds himself to a very high standard, a practice that has managed to keep him relatively humble when compared to many of his brethren. Certainly Noah has unwavering confidence and it radiates from him, contributing heavily to his charisma, but until he has fulfilled his goals he remains humbled by their burden.

Background

Noah grew up in the small south-eastern village that Esenius made famous, about 5 years younger than Esenius he was only a child when the Wyld Hunt attacked his village. Noah was awe inspired by the mighty solar warriors who dispatched of the Wyld Hunt, saving the village and Esenius. He found within himself a desire to go with that group of bandits that day, though he was much too young and what reason would they have to take another powerless mortal along with them? Though he was bound by the humble tasks of a small village he had a flare for the eccentric, often dreaming of the epic adventures Esenius, who he viewed as an elder cousin, was able to partake in.

A few years later Noah himself was chosen by the Unconquered Sun, the Wyld Hunt was much to preoccupied by that time to hunt him down but he knew better than to stick around, he left the night he exalted to seek out the group of bandits that left the village years before. He started traveling north, heading to the Scavenger Lands where he soon started to hear the tales of Esenius and his allies, learning that an army was gathering to attack The Blessed Isle. He set out to meet with the forming army, traveling day and night to reach their meeting point in time; he arrived the night before they were set to depart. He was a boy among men, armed only with a dull sword too large for him to wield and heavy leather robes as armor, he wandered through the camp that showcased men and woman from all over creation preparing for what would turn out to be many of their last nights. He tried to set out to find Esenius in the expansive camp, heading towards the tent where the leaders of the army were gathered discussing strategy; he never made it that far as he was recognized by one of the solars who'd been in his village years before. The man named Seth pulled him aside and talked with him, telling him he was too young to fight in the battle, that wasting his life in a battle he could not affect would help no one. Noah took his brutally honest words very hard, going to bed upset but intending to leave with the army in the morning anyway, he would prove he would not be a burden.

When he awoke the following morning he found himself alone in the center of a vast field, empty but for the remnants of the camps that had been there that night. At first he thought he was dreaming but was shocked back into reality by the presence of a lone figure heading his way. He was taken in by the man whom he would later learn was a Sidereal affiliated with The Cult of the Illuminated, he was set up with a member of the Cult who would train him in a variety of arts, bringing out his skills to be useful for the Cult. He spent years training and serving The Cult of the Illuminated, traveling about the eastern provinces recruiting members for the Cult and helping its members when he ran across them. He was displeased despite his success in the organization, finding that his kind struggles to work together under such discrete leadership, he decided to leave with a loose affiliation remaining, setting out to work for The Guild.

He secured a merchant position within The Guild selling weapons to small mercenary armies around the eastern region, he was able to continue to help his solar brethren by cutting them deals in their personal causes. He continued to undercut The Realm by supporting arms deals that worked against The Realm, arming the allies and hurting them economically through trade. Despite the subtle effectiveness of this tactic he lacked the patience to wait for another army to rise and channel The Realm, he decided to ally himself with an army from a similar region to his village, slightly further south near the city of Rathess. Noah agreed to travel about creation, recruiting and building resources to expand the army, hoping to bring some of the other freedom-fighting armies he met under the same banner.

Goals & Motivation

Since his exaltation he has desired to see the Dragon-Blooded empire fall before his eyes, when he was a child he watched an army depart to accomplish this goal but they failed, and few who fought returned. Noah was picked up by The Cult of the Illuminated and taught that it was the solars right to rule over creation, it has been his goal ever sense to see it done.

After working for years with The Cult of the Illuminated he found his own opinions beginning to differ on a suitable course of action for him and his fellow chosen; he found a place in The Guild where he could build power and influence, working suitably against The Realm through economics and arming their enemies with weapons. While he grew rich in this trade and saw many enemies who he supplied fight valiantly against The Realm he found that route to be too subtle, though potentially effective.

In his business he had met up with many freedom fighting groups who rallied behind one cause or another, many of these groups were even led in some manner by his fellow exalts, he saw this as a golden opportunity. He made an alliance with a group in the south-east, near his former home, led by Emi Naoki, a fellow solar, agreeing to help her recruit so that they could drive the Dragon-Bloods from the threshold. Noah's medical prowess and ability to recruit, not to mention connections with The Guild, have helped the army he now considers himself a part of to become a growing power in the region. He continues to travel, recruiting all that he can, mortals and exalt alike to his cause. He and Emi have begun to discuss a major move to further their goal, believing that a strike against the excavation site near Gem would effectively crush the Dynasty's control over the south. Noah believes he can secure help from both the people of the major city, led by fellow solar Gallador, as well as many of the local nomadic tribes that have no love for the large Dragon-Blooded presence.

Driving the Dragon-Bloods from the south would give the army a rallying point in Gem where they could take on large numbers from the city as well as barbarians from surrounding tribes. Noah hopes that such a large move will cause the news to travel quickly, reaching the ears of many freedom fighting armies around creation, inviting all who share in their cause to join them. Such a force could secure the south against Dragon-Blooded counter attack, and an alliance with The Bull of the North would put The Realm between two allied armies.

Virtue Flaw

Compassion - Red Rage of Compassion

Noah has traveled the world and seen much of its suffering, occasionally the suffering in the world that surrounds him is too much for him to handle and he is overcome with rage. Noah wished to free the defenseless people of the world from all forms of tyranny, most obvious is the Dragon-Blooded Empire but other forms of suffering certainly contribute to his burden. Noah hates to see anyone suffer and he is most upset when those who do not have the power to help themselves are harmed, he finds these situation bearable under most circumstances, but when he is unable to help those indeed it begins to fill him with rage. When the suffering around him becomes too much rage begins to take control causing him to become terribly angry and violent, lashing out at any and everything around him responsible for suffering.
