The Dead Poet

The Dead Poet

The Dead Poet is a created identity of Whisper's From Beyond that is little known but broadly involved in the events across the entire Scavenger Lands. This enigmatic figure has appeared covertly to several different governing bodies, intelligence agencies, and people of influence throughout the region and occasionally beyond. He always comes offering information while demanding little or nothing in return for it, the information always seems to be in the best interest of who receives it. Most importantly the information has always proven to be true, and otherwise unobtainable. No one dares speak of this figure to anyone else, fearing that he could somehow be involved with them or that it would expose their informant or worse yet would link them to a figure that would damn their own reputation. The security of being unmentionable among the entire Scavenger Lands has allowed him to travel freely throughout the region without divulging any secrets and with considerably lower risk than even a nondescript identity.

The Dead Poet has exchanged or given information with most of the major players in the Scavenger Lands including, but not limited to The Three Gods in Great Forks, The Lookshy Rangers, Nexus' Council of Entities, and to a limited extent even the spy networks of The Mask of Winters and The Walker in Darkness. All of these organization believe him to be a different figure, and would under no circumstance mention or bring him up to any of the others. For now they tread cautiously around him while they tentatively confirm and use the incredibly helpful information he offers.

Takeshi Irugawa

Takeshi Irugawa

Takeshi Irugawa is a former member of The Council of Entities in Nexus, he was known as an eccentric mortal astrologer who has shown great accuracy at predicting the future at times. While not normally known for political activeness he took interest in recent Council of Concordant meetings, especially detailing with the matters regarding Deathlord threats. He is also responsible for the plan that sponsored two squads to investigate the Deathlord threat; as a result The Council of Entities voted to send him with the group heading to The Ebon Spires of Pyron to insure the best interests of the Scavenger Lands are pursued. The group included Mayhiros Raygar, Remus, Lazarus, and Steel Heart's Fury. Takeshi never returned from the trip, though was never confirmed as killed during the mission. The Emissary replaced his seat on The Council of Entities and received little objection, Takeshi has since been seen on occasion throughout The Scavenger Lands, but has not been politically active or appeared in public. Those who care enough to think about him typically suspect he lost what was left of his sanity in the Shadowlands of The Walker, and is now left to wander without rhyme or reason until put out of his misery.

Arkanian

Arkanian

Arkanian's most typical appearance is that of a traveling minstrel dressed for his own funeral, this appearance is almost universally believed to be a false identity. The disguise is typically recognizable by those who are familiar with him, however the subtle details seem to frequently change in a way difficult to pinpoint. However, most acquaintances seem to barely remember his appearance and though he often is asked if he has met people before, he is almost always able to convince people otherwise. This guise works well for him, leaving no trail of names or faces behind him as he moves from place to place as freely as possible for a man as hunted as he. Of course these days even this fairly nondescript visage is rarely seen, he tends to favor completely unique disguises that he can use and discard as he pleases.
